Elegant Summer Wedding at The Orchard Hood River | Oregon
As an Oregon wedding photographer, I've documented weddings at many stunning venues. But when Allison and Cody told me they were planning to say "I do" at The Orchard Hood River, I knew this was going to be a celebration to remember! The Orchard Hood River is one of Oregon’s most stunning wedding venues! There are so many areas around this venue to take photos, it is truly spectacular, but what is the crown jewel is the view of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. How many venues do you know with a gorgeous view of two stunning mountains?!!
Allison got ready at the Columbia Gorge Hotel with her ladies and did her father/daughter first look there. Cody chose a super cool Airbnb in Hood River for him and his guys. One thing I always recommend my couples do is have enough room for their getting ready area. Both locations were perfect for their wedding party size!
Allison and Cody did their first look and private vows before the ceremony and I may have teared up as much as Cody did. I loved this little walk way for the location, it had beautiful lighting and privacy for them to really feel the feels.
After their vows we meandered through some of the gardens and orchards for portraits. I always sneak my couples back out for sunset portraits, but highly recommend taking some right after the first look too! Their wedding party joined us for the last bit of photos-truly one of the best wedding parties ever! But I wasn’t surprised because knowing Allison and Cody, any friends of theirs have to be amazing!
The ceremony took place on the grass with Mt. Hood watching from the distance. With Cody being from California, the view of the mountain was super special to him. I was thrilled that we avoided any smoke that day and the weather was beyond perfect!
One of the things that I love about The Orchard is that they have the best in house catering! I am vegetarian and they went and picked the peppers straight from the garden to roast for my meal. It’s making my mouth water just thinking about it. The tablescapes were so beautiful and I loved the greenery behind the head table. Minimal, but elegant.
Right after dinner and cake cutting we whisked the couple away for sunset photos. If you are getting married at The Orchard, you do not want to miss out on golden hour! It is truly next level gorgeous!!! Remember, mountain views both directions-so double the sunset magic!

The first dances had me back in tears, there is just something so special about a first dance.
When the dance floor opened, I was not prepared for the level of awesome sauce that was about to happen! Allison and Cody’s friends and family knew how to get DOWN!!! Justin with Paradox Productions was perfection and kept that dance floor hopping the whole time!
