Salt Flats Wedding Editorial Inspiration

One of the things I love most about photographing at the Salt Flats is the ultra clean blank slate. This means that you can stay with a minimal approach, or go all out…the skies the limit! This particular design was a modern, high fashion wedding look and I was all for it! One of my goals as an adventure wedding photographer is to combine luxury with the outdoors, this design definitely does that!!

The Bonneville Salt Flats are located about 2 hours outside of Salt Lake City, so it makes travel fairly easy! One little tip-make sure that you know what your rental car rules are for driving on the Salt Flats. Most car rental companies will hit you with a fee if they find evidence of the salt.

On this late October day, the temperatures were just above freezing. I have to give the models a HUGE kuddos, because they never missed a beat. So professional and pushed through the frigid temperatures with such grace. I always keep some hand warmers in my photography backpack and was happy to provide these to them during breaks.
